  • Reduces fine lines and prevents the appearance of wrinkles
  • Inexpensive, suitable for any budget
  • Easy to make

Where This Face Mask Recipe Comes From

I got this homemade face mask recipe from my flatmate Julia back in Germany. Julia was told this recipe by her mother who made this face mask for herself for many years on a weekly basis. I remember Julia’s mum was in her late fifties, had amazingly healthy looking skin, very refined with no wrinkles or visible lines. My friend was sure this was the result of using this mask for years and years. Since then we both have been using this recipe too. I have to say it is definitely the best homemade mask I’ve ever discovered.

How To Make Face Mask For Dry & Tired Skin?

Ingredients You Will Need

2 tablespoons of quark

1 small teaspoon of honey

2 drops of fresh lemon juice

Quark – is deeply nourishing for dry skin.

Honey – reduces inflammation, moisturises and hydrates deeply without making it oily, adds a healthy glow and radiance.

Lemon – a source of vitamin C and a great anti-oxidant, which helps to reduce skin damage and premature aging, brightening your appearance.

TIP (!) If you have very sensitive skin or your skin feels irritated, you can skip lemon juice.

Steps To Make The Face Mask

1. Mix the ingredients well together. Depending on a quark you buy, you might get a runny consistency, which is ok.

2. Wash and dry your face well before applying this mask.

3. Apply by using your fingers. The texture might feel a bit cold on your skin as the quark comes from the fridge.

4. Massage the mask well in to your skin in circular motions for a few minutes and keep applying extra if needed to let the skin absorb as much as possible.

5. Keep it on and relax for 10-15 minutes until it is dry.

6. Remove it gently with a cloth or a small towel soaked in a lukewarm water.

7. Make a fresh mask every time you want to use it.
